These sockets are really solid. So solid that you will not be able to open them up/disengage them once you have them clipped to the wire. There is a trick to clipping the backing to the socket. They do not simply click in by hand. I had to use a small tacking hammer to get the back to click into the socket. Even with the hammer, they do not always go in squarely. If they do not go in squarely, the bulb will not light. So you will have to take that socket off. Taking the socket off requires a lot of effort and almost always destroys the socket. I would order 10-15% more than you think you will need. The good news is, once you get a socket clicked to the wire, "it ain't going anywhere". I am giving it a 3 star rating because they should be more user friendly. Otherwise, they are very sturdy and great quality, that seem like they will last for years.
