We love cupcakes so it stands to reason that we'd marry our love of baking and lights. This is a fun project that is perfect for decorating for a birthday, shower, or party. Choose the cupcake liners based on the celebration!
Materials
- String of lights
- Cupcake liners
- Scissors
- Hot Glue or Elmers (maybe)
Instructions
The liners. We chose basic summer colors for this project.
Be inspired by the paper snowflakes we all made as kids. Fold the liners and snip the corners at different angles and shapes to create different shapes of "flowers". Have fun and experiment. This is a great project to share with girlfriends and a bottle of rose or with the kids. (Without the wine.)
Here are a few of our cuts.
Let's add a pop of purple!
For texture, layer different colors and shapes.
Fold the cupcake liners twice, clip off the center to create a hole to pop the light bulbs through. If you find the hold isn't secure enough, add a couple drops of liquid or hot glue.
Party Ready!!
