These seem like a very good idea to me. Very reasonably priced. Easy to install. You may have to give the bulbs a little extra turn to seat them. Very happy with them.
I burned through a ton of the LED c9 bulbs before investing in these. They are a bit time consuming but when I’m blowing $1.25 each bulb that blows, it’s worth it. I ended up having to unscrew each bulb to install with the shingle tabs anyway so 6 in one, 1/2 doz. in the other.
These work great. I fitted them on my LED c9's that were purchased elsewhere. It is great knowing I have extended the life of the bulb by keeping extra moisture out. I would recommend testing the string (duh) after using these just to make sure you have screwed the light in all the way to make a solid connection. I had a few that needed an extra little twist.
Purchased these to use with my retro-fit LED bulbs. Hopefully will extend the life of my bulbs by keeping moisture out.
The gaskets I got look different. I think they will work just fine but I looked at this picture to make sure I was installing them correctly. I installed them as they were pictured here but, as I thought about it, I realized for the different kind of gasket I was sent, they were upside down. I turned about 70 of them that I had already installed around and I think they will be great.
I bought these in December of 2016 for C9 LED lights that are on every night for five hours, year round by saltwater. They do seem to keep the moisture out, but after a year, they have become gummy and no longer seal well. I wish they lasted a bit longer, and did not degrade by melting, but they are better than nothing. I am ordering 1000 more.
