Hello, I am curious how the C7 and/or C9 SPT-1 wires operate with some empty sockets on the string. To explain, I have a 8-foot extension on my roof where I plan to only use one string and would have roughly 16 empty sockets sitting on the roof. Any concerns with rain and snow with the empty sockets? Thanks!
The string is designed to work without bulbs installed and there are no issues with rain or snow. What you might be confcerned with are empty sockets that somone can possibly stick a finger in. If that is possible, we would suggest wrapping the socket with electrical tape.
