Creating custom outdoor light strings
We all love strings of twinkle lights brightening the yard during the Christmas Season but have you asked yourself....
What about Spring?
The good news for Spring is there are a ton of options to light your outdoor entertainment areas.
Personalized commercial-grade light strings are a magical way to accent pergolas, porches, open spaces, and more.
If you plan to spend time outside this Spring and Summer, you can easily take the next step and create your own custom light strings.
It's simpler than you think.
- Choose your bulbs
- Choose your cords
- Screw the bulbs into the cords
- Make your celebrations sparkle!
Need outdoor light string replacement bulbs?
Determine the size of your current bulb's sockets the choose your bulbs and you'll be party-ready within a week.
Patio Strings with Larger Sockets
If you are replacing bulbs in a heavier duty light string purchased at a big box store, check out the size of the socket by verifying a standard light bulb fits. If it does then select a bulb with an E26, also known as Medium base.
Smaller Christmas Light Style Stringer Wire
Retrofitting or using a light cord with smaller sockets than a commercial cord?
As a first step, grab a night light bulb. If it fits, you'll need a bulb with an E12 (candelabra) sized base. It's 12mm across.
If that's too small, you might have an E17 base then your socket is the same sized as the bases on a standard C9 Christmas light bulb. That's 17mm across.
After you've detemined the size of your bulb's base, head over to our selection of replacement bulbs to choose your favorite look.
