What do the connectors look like? Are they waterproof? Do you sell or recommend extension cables?
Hello,
Thank you for your great questions about our 50-light Warm White LED strings.
Here are the details on the connectors:
Connector Type: These light strings use standard, unsealed male and female plugs for their end-to-end connections.
Waterproofing: The plugs themselves are not waterproof. While the light string itself is rated for temporary outdoor use (meaning it's built to withstand rain and snow), the connection points where the plugs meet are not sealed and require protection from moisture.
Extension Cords: Yes, we absolutely sell and recommend using outdoor-rated extension cords. You can find our full collection here: Extension Cords
Important Installation & Safety Note
For any outdoor installation, we strongly recommend protecting all plug connections from direct exposure to the elements.
All connections should be elevated to avoid resting in standing water, puddles, snow, or mud.
Connections must never be submerged.
To protect the connections from moisture, many installers choose to securely wrap them with electrical tape or use a protective plug/cord cover.
