100 C7 or C9 Magnetic Christmas Light Clips SPT-1

Good solution for hanging C9 lights on metal rain gutters. Once they are all up they seem to work well and hold in most winter weather conditions including snow and heavy rainfall. The challenge is in hanging them. Tricky to keep from pulling off while hanging these with just one person as they disengage easily with any downward weight applied to the strings while installing them. Once that happens you get a domino effect where they all pull off. Installing seems to work best if 2 people are involved. One person to install the lights the second person to hold the remaining string in the air to keep the weight off the lights just hung. Using that method it goes pretty fast and once the whole string is up it works well as mentioned above.

The magnet clips made things a breeze when install lights on a metal roof. It’s so much quicker installing on metal roofs than with shingles w/ shingle clips. I was hesitant install lights on metal roofs but now I see it’s so much faster and easier I would rather take on metal roofs over your shingle roofs. We recently had high winds due to cold front moving in and the lights didn’t budge at all. Those small magnets are pretty strong and they’ll be my go to with any metal roof lines to install Xmas lights.

These were amazing and so easy to install. I put all the clips on and handed them up to the roof where my husband just barely reached over to just pop them on. I used two at the ends where I plugged them into an extension cord. Secured the extension cord and perfect!

I am SO, so happy I found these clips! It was getting harder to encourage my husband to put them up because the shingle clips were time consuming and started causing damage to the shingles after many years of use. My husband was very excited to try these out and got our lights strung up in less than half the time it normally would take. I'm really excited to add more lights around the whole house next year! Extremely pleased with the quality and sturdiness of the magnets. Delivery was very fast too; we received them 3 days sooner than expected. Will definitely recommend to others.

the magnetic clips for my C9 lights works great. I am so glad I found these, makes putting up lights a lot faster and easier. I have a metal roof and the magnets are perfect for this application. Best thing since sliced bread.

Excellent what I was expecting.got use to how to clip it on after the fourth socket

I tried one package of the C9 magnetic clips, hoping that they could be modified to fit my 3-strand C7 LED lights. After looking at the clips, I found that the wires can indeed be attached to the clips; at each bulb, there is a wire coming into the socket, one going out of the socket, and two wires that bypass that particular socket. I put the two "bypass" wires in the clip slots that are closest to and parallel with the magnet and the two "in" & "out" wires into the slots that are perpendicular to the magnet (one wire in each slot). This system seems to hold the wires without any problem. I have not yet hung them up on the house, but it appears that my system will work fine with these clips. Buyers should be aware that this site does NOT recommend that these types of christmas light wires be used with their clips!

We ( my wife and I) did received them and tested them on the flashing below shingles with a string of outdoor Christmas Lights. They work perfect. Positioning is easy and fast. We just had our house painted outside and in. No more puncturing facing with staples and no more back pain from leaning side to side (on stepladder) improving overall safety with each Magnetic Christmas Light Application.

We just installed a metal roof on the house and purchased these for the Christmas Lights. They were easy to install on the light string and made putting the lights on the house a breeze. We had 41 mph winds the day after we put up the lights and the lights did not move. Fantastic product!!

I was looking for a way to hang lights on our new metal roof. Found these clips and decided to take a chance on them. Best decision ever! They were easy to clip on our strands. Hanging them was easy as well, you just have to support the weight of the strand as you go so you don't tear down what you'very already hung. They are holding up to wind great and we even had a light snow, no problems so far! I've had so many compliments on our lights and questions about how we did it! Definitely recommending to anyone who asks!

Let me just say, I wish these had been around previous years!! I LOVE them!! Made putting up lights so easy and I was actually able to reduce the amount of time that we normally spend putting up lights, in fact this year we thought about not doing them, but with the magnets we had second thoughts and it just simplified our efforts. Excellent product. We have been experiencing extremely high winds and our lights have not moved. Perfect if you live in an all metal home.

These basically work as advertised. Two issues I found: 1) if you attach them to the socket at 90 degrees (to point bulbs up or down), depending on the direction you string them on your support, you may have to clip off the built in socket clip as it prevents the magclip from seating fully; 2) they won't support the weight of the string you have not yet mounted; I had to use a cup hook to temporarily hold up the far end string as I attached the magclips to the steel support.

We have installed our lights along the edge of our new steel roof and they are holding up great. We did put the lights on the clips before we took them outside. Just afraid that the plastic might break in the cold.
