What will I need to do after I cut off my Christmas light cord?
You install a plug. A plug like this one. Note, this plug is only for cords that have SPT-2 insulation.
One class of products that make a Christmas light installation look truly professional is custom cut C7 and C9 Christmas light strings. Spools of 500 and 1000 foot C7 and C9 Christmas light cord are shipped without plugs so you'll need a handful of these male plugs if you are working with green SPT-1 Christmas light cords.
Note, this SPT-2 plug is for 18 AWG wire only.
Installation is easy and quick. Simply clip the end of the 18 gauge cord and lay it into the channel on the top of the plug. Holding with one hand use your other thumb to slide the door closed. This can take some effort since the teeth inside the plug have to pierce the insulation. What else do I need? You'll need a method of termination. Either white electrical tape, Male Gilbert Plug SPT-2 White , liquid tape or other option given to you by the master electrician you are working with. Did you accidentally break the slide tab on your plug? We do sell green replacement tabs for these plugs.Consider adding a couple to your order, especially if you are a professional installer pressed for time and running several crews.
Shipping
We ship Monday through Friday. Orders placed by 2 PM CST are typically shipped the same day. Orders placed after this time will ship on the next business day.
Orders are not shipped during the weekend or on major holidays.

Warranty
Please test your lights when you receive them! Everyone is happier when we resolve issues quickly.
Our warranty for all our products is 90 days of normal, seasonal use. If a product is defective or fails during the 90 days following receipt of your order, please contact us right away by replying to your order confirmation email. Please include photos of the issue and a photo of your product item number, if applicable. We will work with you to troubleshoot the problem, and if the issue is not easily and quickly resolved, we will correct the situation.

Returns
Like-new, uninstalled products may be returned for a credit to the form of payment used during checkout. Please reach out to us to request return instructions. Reply to your order confirmation email us via our contact page.
Orders must be returned within 30 days of requesting return instructions. After receipt of the return, the amount of the purchase price should be credited within 7 business days.
Return and original shipping charges are not refunded.
