I'm a bit lost reading your specs. Is the lighted length end to end 6'? And how long is the strands themselves (how far down do they hang)?

Thanks for your question. The horizontal length (from the first drop to the last drop) is aproximately 6 feet. The vertical drops are approximately 8 feet.
can you turn off the twinkle so remain on "fixed"?

Thank you for your question. This string can only be twinkling. It cannot be modified to stop the twinkle effect. We do have a version that is steady, but unfortunately, it is out of stock until the new stock arrives next summer.
