Some questions have been debated throughout history:
- Mac vs. PC?
- Thick Crust vs. Thin?
- Sports Car or Minivan?
- Beach vs. Mountains?
And then there is the hotly debated question:
LED Light Strings: Pure vs. Warm?
There doesn't seem to be a middle ground in responses to these questions. People tend to love one and hate the other. Hate is such a strong word. Let's say "have no preference" for the other.
Here's a video I've shot on the subject:
Over the years, I've seen a pretty even divide between the colors in actual sales.
Both warm and pure light strings have become more neutral over the years - less yellow and less blue, respectively. In fact, unless you plug them in and hold them next to each other, it can be hard to tell which one is which.
The choice comes down to a question of personal taste and how you use the lights.
Using lights in a retail or commercial application where new halogen lights will be used? Looking for maximum impact in a restaurant or party? Shop for pure white LED string lights.
One thing to remember is to pick a white and stay committed. Mixing warm and cool lights together in the same display can be "visually jarring."
So, weigh in here.
Are you WARM, or are you COOL?
