Mini Lights are the quintessential Christmas tree lights, we carry just about any color you can think of in our mini light selection. Since we want to make it easy for you to find just the right set for your project, you can easily find them sorted by color. White mini lights are also referred to as clear in the Christmas lighting industry so don't let that be confusing - and they are sorted by wire color: white, green, brown or black.
Mini lights are wired in series. That means that if one light burns out, the others stay lit. If a bulb base is damaged or comes out of it's socket the circuit will be broken and the rest of the lights will go off. Mini lights are generally configured to have more than one circuit if there are more than 50 lights to the strand. For example, our 100 light sets are manufactured in two circuits - so if half your lights come on, it means that one of the 50 lights in that half of the strand has become unseated or damaged.
Be sure to save the extra bulbs that come with your set to replace burned out bulbs as zoom as they go out. When a bulb burns out, the current for that bulb is distributed amongst the other bulbs. As more bulbs burn out without replacement, more and more current will run through the remaining ones and they'll fail in a cascade. Mini lights generally last 3000 hours but their ultimate lifespan may be determined by your environment. If the lights are installed where they are exposed to direct sunlight or salt water, they'll wear out a lot faster.
See Our Wide Variety of Wire Color for Mini Lights
The bulk our our lights come on green wire - perfect for traditional Christmas trees and outdoor decorating. Green is a neutral color and blends nicely in overhead lighting and in garden areas.
Most of our colors also come on white wire. White wire mini lights are a great solution for weddings. You can choose either white bulbs or pick up the colors of your weddings with sets in colors like teal, pink, and purple.
White minis alone also come on brown and black wire. Brown wire works great on grapevine, palm trees and arbors where there are brown stems to blend in with. The white lights also available in black wire.
Black wire is great for sophisticated events and in applications where you want the light wires to really disappear after dark. There has also been an increased demand for black wire lights to highlight neo-traditional black trees.
Mini Lights in a Wide Variety of Bulb Colors
Most of the time, you just see mini lights in white/clear, multi, red, green and blue. We try to broaden your choices with yellow, orange, purple, pink, teal and different multi combination. Used in combination with white lights, you can use different colors to accent your wedding, celebrate a sports team or just decorate your home's interior or your garden areas.
Mini Light Spacing
The most commonly used spacing for minis is 4 inches and all of our bulb colors come in this spacing. Like baby bear's porridge, it's a length that fits that happy medium of not too far or not too close. For yard sculpture, intense tree wrapping for maximum lighting concentration, our 2.5 inch spacing is the best choice. Six inch spacing gives you the most distance for your set - 50 bulbs is 25 feet and 100 bulbs is a wonderfully long 50 feet. This spacing is great where distance is more important than lighting concentration and you have a lot of ground to cover. Wrapping older trees with really large trunks is just that much easier with more distance between lighters.
Net Lights for Shrubs and Tree Trunks
Net Lights are a quick and easy way to decorate trees, shrubs, fences or anything else that needs a grid of evenly spaced lights. Traditional net lights are 4 x 6 feet and are perfect for hedges, shrubs and fence-lines. Tree trunk wrap lights are either 6 or 8 feet tall by 2 feet and are perfect for easily wrapping tree trunks - especially palm trees. If your tree is larger then 2 feet in diameter (the span around the tree trunk) you can add sets together with wire ties (up to 3 sets on one circuit).
Icicle Lights
Gaining in popularity over the last few years, icicle min lights are perfect for Christmas decorating. These light sets look especially nice on homes with varying elevations in the roofline. Historic homes with their gorgeous rooflines, circular turrets and Victorian gingerbread are really highlighted with clear icicle lights on white wire. The effect is so pretty that leaving them up all winter might be a good plan - especially if your older home is a restaurant or bed and breakfast.
We carry Icicle lights in both traditional incandescent and LED styles.
Incandescent Icicle Lights - Each of our incandescent icicle light strands is 15 feet long, has 150
mini lights and features 127 drops per strand. (24 inch, 12 inch, 18
inch).
LED Icicle Lights - The LED icicle sets are 7.5 feet long, have 70 M5 (wide angle or conical) LEDs and has 9, 15 and 18 inch drops.
Battery Operated Lights

Perfect for table centerpieces for events like wedding receptions and banquets - these lights have been the first choice for brides and event coordinators all over the country. These battery lights come in two versions - incandescent and LED.
Incandescent Battery Lights - For short term use, the traditional incandescent sets last 4-7 hours depending on your batteries and are a good choice due to their cost effectiveness. They are inexpensive enough that they make great gifts for your guests at the end of the evening. Or keep them for your next party. They are for indoor use only.
LED Battery Operated Lights - Our LED battery lights have been used in theatrical productions, in costumes and are also great for centerpieces and Christmas decoration. They use 3 AA batteries (not included) and last between 12 and 24 hours per set of batteries. These lights come in warm white, pure (cool) white and multi on green and white wire. They also come in several shapes and you can choose your favorite based on the look you want to achieve - whether you want the lights to fade into the background and just be pinpoints of lights or 'pop' as part of the arrangement.
Microdrop LED Battery Lights - All four colors of our LED microdrop lights last up to 150 hours on one set of 3 AA batteries and are little drops of light on bare wire. They are perfect for stuffing bottles, twisting into floral arrangements and accenting bows. One of our most innovative sets, their application is limited only my your imagination and we here every week about some great ways they are being used. Be sure to check out our video showing these versatile lights.
Traditional Incandescent and LED Bulbs and Cords
Nothing says Christmas like a roof line crisply outlined in C9 bulbs all snapped to attention by the right installation clips. C7 bulbs have E12 or candelabra bases and are the size of a nightlight - they even fit in most night lights. C9 bulbs have intermediate bases (also known as E17) and the bulbs are almost 2 inches tall. With a tapered look, these lights are perfect for decorating for Christmas and other Holidays - don't forget Halloween - it's now the number two market for Christmas lights.
We sell our bulbs and cords separately to keep down costs for you and allow you the ultimate in versatility. Want blue, yellow and orange lights? It's easy to order boxes of 25 bulbs in each of these colors and then order enough cord for your project. Keep in mind to use seek out the wise counsel of a master electrician if you have any questions about how to install these lights.
Incandescent C7 and C9 Bulbs and Cords
Our incandescent C7 and C9 Bulbs and Cords are sold separately. The bulbs come in boxes of 25 and are available in transparent, painted or opaque, and twinkle. The twinkle lights flash on about once a second.
Our cords come in 25, 50 and 75 and 1000 foot lengths with SPT-1 insulation. The 25-100 foot cords come fully assembled with plugs. You can connect 2 25-foot cords in series. The 100 foot cords are best not run in series but out from a T or extension cord. Do not exceed 1000 watts per breaker as a rule of thumb. Installation of our the stringer wire from our 1000 foot spools should be done by a master electrician.
LED C7 and C9 Replacement (Retrofit) Bulbs
In addition to our traditional filament bulb series, we feature LED Bulbs as well. We carry a wide variety of colors including slow and fast change in our LED bulb. They come in both C7 and C9 with similar sizes and the same bases as traditional lights. The install into standard stringer wire but installation is limited to 250 feet due to the 18 AWG wire the 100 and 1000 foot cords are constructed with. Again, consult with an electrician for installation.
Our C7 LED bulbs are equipped with 3 LEDs and the C9 bulbs come with 5 LEDs in each bulb.
NOTE: C7 and C9 designation when used with regards to LED bulbs are related to their size and not the amount of light that they emit. LED lighting technology is completely different than filament bulbs. At a wattage difference of approximately 90% of the usage of traditional bulbs, LED bulb don't deliver as many visible lumens as traditional lights. The are to be seen ... not see by. They are perfect for applications where they will be used in larger quantities or where power requirements might exceed the building electrical system. LED bulbs are used across the country for large Christmas trees and in City and Commercial applications. Many cities are switching to LED bulbs while keeping their original cords because they have much less breakage in storage and while installed in trees that can be buffeted by high winds.
Medium Base Bulbs and Cords
These filament medium base bulbs and cords come in frosted, clear and multi. They have a completely different base than either C7 or C9 - it's a larger base that is referred to as Medium or E26. The largest and brightest of our bulbs, these are great for gardens, gazebos and stringing across wide spaces.
The cords for these bulbs are also sold separately and come in a spool of 250 feet and we carry plugs for your electrician to use to cut custom lengths. At a hefty 12 AWG, you can urn up to 250 feet (200 bulbs) in one run. These cords come in either black or white and are great for either patios and gazebos or restaurant exterior lighting.
LED Christmas Light Sets - Pre-wired Unibody Construction
Take advantage of the cost savings and easy installation and consider installing our LED Christmas Light Sets this Holiday Season. Our sets feature jewel-toned colored lenses, a wide variety of shapes from small M5 lenses that work to accent anything to larger C7 and C9 lens styles that are larger and show up nicely in their own right. From traditional white to red and then to electric purples and pinks, you will have a tough decision choosing the best shaped lens and color for your project.
Our LED light sets are pre-wired with non-removeable bulbs. So, you can't interchange the colors. Uni-body construction allows more sets to be connected (due to lower resistance) and better water resistance. Twist sets of different colors together during installation to create your own multi-color combinations. Our sets can be connected between 40 and 66 sets in one electrical run depending on the set. Be sure to check the specifications of the sets you are interested in for spacing and connectivity figures.
With the ability to run 1000's of LEDs off a single breaker, these sets make installation easier - less need to run extension cords all over your roof. Non-breakable lenses means that they are more durable during wind storms and storage.
