The mag clips are a little hard to snap onto the cord but they work really well on roof flashing and starter metal. We installed almost 250 on our roofline and they've held great

This item arrived quickly and is working as described. I installed lights around my terrace and they have held up well against rain and wind. I live by the ocean so wind can be strong sometimes but i have had no issues. I am delighted with my purchase and would definitely recommend.

This is an excellent fastening system. Flexible enough to allow you to have the bulbs pointing down, which is what I prefer. But I have heritage-style half-round gutters than are made of galvalume, which is part aluminum. So the magnets aren't quite as sticky as I'd like, especially on the round surface. If you're not careful putting them up (or taking them down), the entire string can pull itself off and you have to start again. I'm assuming the holding power would be better with all-metal gutters, or the more common K-style shape. Some (not often) of the plastic clips that hold the magnet will break, especially if you're installing in very cold weather. So order lots of extras.

You will find similar clips on other sites, including the behemoth online shop. On those sites, many disappointed reviewers comment on weak magnets. I chuckled at Shellie's leaf blower demonstration of the strength of these clips and ordered a box to hang C9s along a metal section of roof. The first couple of clips aren't strong enough to securely hold a 25 bulb strand. But after attaching a few clips you can let the strand dangle while moving your ladder. When all of the clips are in place the strand will hang securely.Very happy with these clips.

We installed 200 of these magnetic clips on a commercial project. This happened 1 day ahead of projected 50 mph winds. The clips did NOT move at all, and the wind had no effect on them. Installation for this job was rather effortless. I can recommend them 100%, but be SURE to test your structure's metal to insure the magnets will hold.

These clips are fantastic for running C7 light strings along wrought iron fences. Put a clip on each light socket, twisting to secure the wires in the side slots. You can then string 100 feet in just a few minutes sticking the magnetic base on the wrought iron fence. I installed over 160 feet of light on our fence and they light are all held straight up perfectly. Looks very professional.

We loved our C9 magnetic clips so much that we bought these C7 clips as a gift for our neighbor! She is so excited. So much easier to hang lights AND get them perfectly straight every time .

These clips made it possible for us to have exterior lights on the parapet metal flashing cap all around the perimeter of our stucco home. It was so easy and the magnet is so strong that even very high mountain ridge winds did not blow them off. They also did really well on some metal corrugated roofing. They did not cause any rusting of our metal flashing cap or roof either. I highly recommend them! Our house looked like a professional installation. My kids wanted to leave them up year round!
