Great accent

Last year we made a "Christmas Tree" for our front yard using a partial spool of a C7 string with white facetted bulbs, our neighbors loved it. It is about seven feet tall and is a lot of white light. We interspersed some red C7 bulbs which made a big impact and tied in our red and white themed house lights. This year were adding these G50 red faceted bulbs to step up the red (as these bulbs are bigger than the C7) and give them more of a decoration ball effect at night and during the day. Of course, we haven't put it up in the yard yet but so far, they look great in the garage.
Our tree was made by cutting a round base out of 1/2-inch OSB, putting threaded galvanized pipe sections in the center and reducing the diameter size as it got higher. We utilized a flange at the bottom to attach the pipe to the base and also at the top to attach the light string.
The red G-50 look great against the white C7s.
