These battery light strands are constructed on coated wire that doesn't have a more traditional thicker insulation. They are super-low voltage and as a result, the batteries last longer per set. The trade-off is that they sparkle nicely and make a nice accent to small arrangement but don't throw as much light as traditional or LED Battery lights.
Here are some suggested applications:
1. Use these to highlight your craft projects. These lights have been popular for filling mosaic projects because they can be compressed. They are less successful in larger containers because traditional insulation keeps lights more easily separated and fills space in wine bottles and glass bricks.
2. Use these lights to wrap around miniature wire trees. The thin mounting wire "hides" better than wire in other sets.
3. Accent Christmas villages with these lights. They are easy to tuck into small buildings and wrap around miniature Christmas trees.
4. Have fun with your kids lighting their LEGO and other building sets. Light up a ship like the one in the video below or add a lovely glow to your own hobbit house.
