If one LED goes out, the rest of the lights will stay on. That is unless the reason the LED is out is due to an issue with the wiring harness.
The number one thing that will take out an individual LED is an impulse surge on your line. (From lightning, noise on the line, etc.) We strongly suggest that you plug your lights into a surge protector.
These LED lights use the same technology that is used in computers so that makes sense.
